South Africa tightens Covid restrictions to level 3

  • In tonight's edition: President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday announced a new ban on alcohol sales and said mask-wearing will be mandatory in public after South Africa became the continent's first to record one million coronavirus cases. Central African Republic's electoral commisison says that 800 polling stations didin't open during the country's presidential and legislative election on Sunday because of rebel attacks. During  World War II European countries relied heavily on black men who were sometimes enrolled by force from the colonies, we hear from a South African veteran.
