At least 21 people have died in #winter #storms that have swept across vast swathes of the central and southern United States in recent days. One of the hardest hit states has been #Texas, where millions of people have been left without #power and temperatures in some parts have plummeted to as low as -18C, colder than in #Alaska in the far north.
