Bangkok: Skyscraper collapses as #quakes hit #Thailand, #Myanmar • FRANCE 24 English

A powerful 7.7-magnitude #earthquake rocked #Myanmar and neighbouring #Thailand on Friday, causing a #skyscraper under construction in the Thai capital Bangkok to collapse, trapping dozens of workers under the rubble. There were also scenes of extensive damage in the Myanmar cities of Mandalay and Naypyidaw, close to the quake’s epicentre, including collapsed buildings and bridges and a damaged temple. A 6.4-magnitude aftershock hit the same area minutes later.
