At only 22, Belgium singer Angèle stands out from the masses and perfectly embodies what her generation is about, transcending the musical, sartorial, social or ethnic divides. With her first album “Brol”, boundaries between musical genres are a distant memory. Blending pop, rap and electro together, she’d rather not play by the rules or claim any identity, class, neighborhood or color through her songs. Her first three hits – “La Loi de Murphy”, “Je Veux Tes Yeux” and “La Thune” - show a remarkable maturity as she tackles the themes of fame, jealousy, sexism, the search for happiness or the dictatorship of social networks with humour and flair. After Stromae, Damso and her own brother Roméo Elvis, Angèle definitely puts Brussels on the map as the new capital of urban pop.
